AS Monaco continue to add to their squad on a daily basis. As indicated by the Daily Express, they have now signed veteran defender Ricardo Carvalho.
Carvalho (pictured) will move to the newly promoted French side on a free transfer. His contract at Real Madrid expired next month.
He adds to Monaco’s new power to bring some of the best talent to France.
Over £110m has already been splashed out on the FC Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez, plus goal king Falcao from Atletico Madrid.
Victor Valdes is expected to complete a move from Barcelona by the end of the week, and Carlos Tevez could also join the new revolution, with Manchester City stalling on offering the Argentine a new contract.
Carvalho has undergone a medical in Monaco and will sign a 12-month rolling contract.
Capped 75 times by Portugal, the defender nearly joined QPR last summer and found his chances limited in Madrid by the form of Raphael Varane.
He won three Premier League titles during a successful six-year spell with Chelsea.
