The famous ‘Welcome to Manchester’ advertising billboard with Carlos Tevez on it will need replacing as the temperamental Argentine prepares for a new life in Italy.

Rumours broke on Tuesday night of interest from Juventus in the striker, and as the Daily Express can confirm, the Serie A champions have agreed a fee with Manchester City for the former Corinthians striker (pictured).

With only one year left on his current deal, there has been speculation throughout this summer about Tevez’s future at Eastlands, but many will still be surprised considering a move to France looked more likely.

The 29-year-old scored 17 times in all competitions last season, and was the most prolific of City’s strikers.

Juventus have already signed Spanish striker Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao, and have also been heavily linked with Gonzalo Higuain of Real Madrid and Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic.

Juve will pay City an initial fee of £7.5m, with the transfer likely to rise to £10m dependent on bonuses.  Tevez has flown to Turin today to thrash out the move.
