According to BBC Sport, Swansea City fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief as Michael Laudrup will be staying at the Liberty Stadium.
That is what the Dane’s agent Bayram Tutumulu has said, although he did admit Laudrup has received offers to manage elsewhere around Europe.
The former Barcelona and Real Madrid midfielder (pictured) has been high on Everton’s shortlist to succeed David Moyes, and has also been linked with the jobs at Chelsea and his former club Real in recent months.
However, Tutumulu said: “Michael Laudrup, just now, is very happy at Swansea City. Of course Michael has had offers from elsewhere.
“Other teams can wait one of two years. We know Michael is going to train the big teams but this is not the moment. Michael doesn’t think about other teams because he promised to the players and the fans he wants to stay in Swansea.”
Laudrup’s first season in Wales was a successful one. He guided the club to their first major honour with League Cup victory in February, and an excellent ninth-place finish in the Premier League despite not winning any of their last nine matches.
In March, the 48-year-old signed a contract extension that keeps him locked at the Liberty Stadium until 2015, and has been promised funds to strengthen the squad for a European adventure next season.
Laudrup’s previous managerial career includes winning the Danish title with Brondby in 2005.
