One of Europe’s most prominent youngsters could be on his way to these shores, according to ESPN

20-year-old Geoffrey Kondogbia admits he is flattered to be linked with a move to London, with Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal seeing great potential in the French youth international.

Kondogbia (pictured) currently plays for Sevilla in La Liga, and has had an excellent debut season with the Spaniards, receiving admiring comments from Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger.

Although happy at his current club, having signed a five-year deal last year with the Seville side, Kondogbia – who plays as a defensive midfielder told; “I have four years left on my current contract, but you never know.  My goal is to finish the season and continue at Sevilla.”

Kondogbia also has the versatility to play in the central of defence or at left back, and would fit into Wenger’s plans as he is young, willing to learn and capable of adapting into new positions.

Wenger has proven this in the past with Lauren, Liverpool-bound Kolo Toure and of course, Thierry Henry.

Kondogbia joined Sevilla from French club RC Lens last summer, and has also attracted interest from Real Madrid, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea might increase their interest in the player when they confirm their new manager on Monday, which is widely expected to be Jose Mourinho.
