Sources at Sky Sports understand that Cardiff City have agreed a fee for the rising starlet Tom Ince.

Ince has attracted attention from many Premier League clubs after his consistent performances in a struggling Blackpool side last season.

A potential move to the club where he started his career, Liverpool didn’t materialise in January, and the Reds interest in the 21-year-old (pictured) seems to have waned.

Tottenham, Newcastle, Reading and even Inter Milan have been fond admirers of Ince’s abilities, but it seems like Cardiff have stolen a march on the other clubs by agreeing a fee with the Tangerines.

Cardiff have yet to make a move in the transfer market since winning promotion to the top flight in April, but the south Wales club could be about to pull off one of the most interesting scalps of this summer window so far.

Ince was voted the Football League’s Young Player of the Year last season, and scored a highly impressive 18 times from midfield last term.
