If Florentino Perez has his way, two of the three star players in the Premier League over the past 12 months might be heading to Real Madrid.

The Real president has courted Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez, and as ESPN has discovered, is keen to bring the pair to the Bernabeu.

Speaking to Spanish radio on Wednesday, Perez (pictured) respects Bale’s current situation at Tottenham but went on to say he was born to play for Real Madrid.

He admitted: “He is a very good player who plays at Tottenham, a team we must respect.  He is magnificent and was born to play for Real Madrid.

Suarez has sparked controversy throughout his time at Liverpool, with the Uruguayan currently banned for biting Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League match in April.

On Wednesday, Suarez took a dig at the way the British media treat his conduct, but also admitted it would be difficult to turn down an offer from the nine-time European Cup winners.  Sky Sports understands today that he wants to leave Liverpool, but the club say he is not for sale.

Perez rates his abilities, but also mentioned Edinson Cavani and Robert Lewandowski when it came to the subject of a new striker.

He added: “Luis Suarez is a great player and of course everyone would like to have him.  I like him, and others too like Lewandowski and Cavani, they are all very good, but there is no room for them all.”

Former Galactico Zinedine Zidane has been revealed as Real’s new sporting director in recent days, and is likely to have a big say in their transfer activity in the coming months.
