After completing the signings of Derek Boateng and Fernando Amorebieta on Wednesday, Martin Jol’s revolution at Fulham looks set to continue, with an enquiry made for Ryan Babel.

Clubcall understands the 26-year-old, who is back at the club where he started his career, Ajax, is out of contract next month, and Jol is keen to make a move for his fellow countryman.

Babel (pictured) has rediscovered some of his best form back in Amsterdam, after returning to the club that gave him his big break from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim last September.

He helped Ajax win the Dutch league again, scoring five goals in all competitions in 22 appearances.  There has even been talk he might be about to win his place back in the Holland international set-up, after losing his place due to poor form in Germany.

Babel had a disappointing spell in the Premier League previously at Liverpool, scoring just 22 goals in 146 outings following a move from Ajax in 2007.  He will provide competition on the left wing for the Londoners.
