Harry Redknapp has insisted he will remain as manager of QPR, even if they end up getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, says the Daily Telegraph.
The west Londoners crumbled completely in the first-half at Fulham on Monday night, shipping three goals which meant despite a valiant response at Craven Cottage after the interval, they left with nothing.
The 3-2 defeat leaves Rangers second bottom, and seven points adrift of 17th placed Wigan, who head to Loftus Road on Sunday afternoon.
Defeat to the Latics would surely consign QPR to the drop - having been written off by many experts and neutrals on several occasions throughout the campaign.
However Redknapp (pictured), who has experience managing Southampton briefly in the Championship in 2005, will accept the challenge of continuing in his role if they can’t beat the dreaded top flight drop.
He told Twentyfour7 Football magazine: “I’d want to take it if the chairman wanted me to stay.
“I would stay with the club and have a go at it. I’d do that, but if he said we needed to cut back and I had to go, I’d understand as well.”
Owner Tony Fernandes has invested heavily, but bringing in the likes of Loic Remy, Christopher Samba and Jose Boswinga has brought little joy, with just four wins all term.
