QPR owner Tony Fernandes is set to begin the exodus that will come with relegation to the Championship.

Sunday’s dramatic 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic leaves the Hoops needing all but a mathematical miracle to survive in the Premier League.

Manager Harry Redknapp will stay on at Loftus Road, but as the Daily Mirror reports, upto 10 players will be shown the door due to their excessive wage packages.

Malaysian tycoon Fernandes has gambled on bringing in a large number of players but Adel Taarabt, Loic Remy, Robert Green, Jermaine Jenas, Bobby Zamora, Christopher Samba, Julio Cesar, Djibril Cisse and Esteban Granero all look set to be shown the door.

Fans’ favourite Taarabt (pictured) claimed AC Milan, Barcelona and Anzhi Makhachkala were interested in signing him in January, and the Moroccan playmaker has fallen out of favour with Redknapp in recent weeks.

Tottenham are leading the race to sign former Marseille striker Remy, while Real Madrid and Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Cesar.
