Arsenal’s plans of a summer clearout have been boosted as Spanish side Real Betis have shown interest in two of the club’s players who appear to have no future under Arsene Wenger.

The Daily Express reports the La Liga side, currently sitting seventh in the table, have been monitoring the progress of Marouane Chamakh (pictured) and Johan Djourou.

Chamakh arrived at Arsenal with an excellent reputation after a fruitful time with Bordeaux, but the Moroccan has made little impact, while a loan move to West Ham in January has returned a grim total of no goals and just three appearances.

Djourou has made a better impression on loan at Hannover 96, making 15 appearances, with Betis looking to buy Chamakh and make a loan swoop for Swiss defender Djourou.

Sebastien Squillaci, Andrey Arshavin and Lukasz Fabianski are out of contract and also set to leave the Emirates Stadium, while they will look to move on loan players like Denilson, Vito Mannone, Nicklas Bendtner and Andre Santos.
