Stoke City’s long-serving manager Tony Pulis is under pressure to keep his job.
The Daily Mirror reports the 55-year-old has private concerns over his long-term future at the Britannia Stadium, following a poor run of form.
Pulis (pictured) has been in charge of the side for the past seven years, since returning for a second stint after a brief managerial spell at Plymouth Argyle.
He has guided the Potters to the top flight, and regular finishes in the mid-table region, with 11th in 2009-10 being the club’s best.
Stoke also reached the FA Cup final at Wembley in 2011 before losing the showpiece to Manchester City.
The Welshman has seen his side collect one league victory since overwhelming Liverpool on Boxing Day, with the latest setback coming in Sunday’s late 2-1 reverse at Newcastle.
Expensive transfer deals for the likes of underperforming Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam haven’t helped matters.
With ‘Pulis Out’ banners starting to appear around the Britannia, the job of the country’s fourth longest serving boss is in jeopardy.
