Shea poised to complete Stoke move

The Daily Mirror understands that a move for Brek Shea in back on, after FC Dallas from the MLS confirmed that a transfer agreement had been reached with Stoke City on Monday night.

The American international (pictured) has played 15 times for his country under Jurgen Klinsmann, and has flown into the UK to undergo a medical at the Britannia Stadium before the Potters Premier League clash with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

Last week, manager Tony Pulis admitted a potential deal seemed dead after the two clubs failed to agree on a suitable transfer fee.

That deadlock seems to have ended, with a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5m.

The 22-year-old has scored 19 goals for FC Dallas in 98 MLS league appearances and would add to the competition on the wings at Stoke with the likes of Michael Kightly and Matthew Etherington.

He is recovering from a foot operation which he had before Christmas, but his proposed move looks set to go through in the next 24 hours.
