Jones believes Red Devils will recover

Manchester United defender Phil Jones is adamant that the Red Devils will recover from their late setback at Tottenham on Sunday, reports Sky Sports.

Clint Dempsey’s injury-time equaliser at White Hart Lane earnt Spurs a 1-1 draw, ensuring that they have taken four points off United this season - their best return ever against the men from Manchester in the Premier League era.

Still with a five point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League table, Jones (pictured) believes that they will be stronger for the experience in London on Sunday.

He said: “Confidence is high but we know we still have to produce and do our job every time we step out on the pitch. “As long as we’re focused on what we’ve got to do and on our gameplan hopefully we’ll be okay.

“We all relish the challenge - everyone in the squad is very focused and committed and we’re all ready for the next game.”

Jones has made seven league appearances since returning from injury back in November.

The 20-year-old is likely to have an impact on the first team for the remainder of the campaign, should he be able to avoid further injury issues.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s men host Fulham on Saturday evening in the FA Cup fourth round, before a visit from Southampton next Wednesday in the Premier League, then a trip to Craven Cottage in the league at the start of February.
