Fulham and Everton show interest in towering striker

6ft 2in striker Igor De Camargo is set to leave Borussia Monchengladbach, according to Teamtalk.com.

His agent Paul Stefani has confirmed that Everton and Fulham are showing serious interest in the £2m rated attacker, along with German club Eintracht Frankfurt.

De Camargo (pictured) has lost his regular place in the Monchengladbach team, and fears for his international future with a prominent Belgian side which has the likes of Jelle Vossen and Christian Benteke among their choice of forwards.

The towering striker played 110 times for Standard Liege across four years, including a spell with current Everton lynchpin Marouane Fellaini.

However, Fulham are leading this battle as Martin Jol desperately tries to take the pressure off Dimitar Berbatov, as misfiring strikers Mladen Petric and Hugo Rodallega have failed to impress.

Stefani said: “Nothing is decided. We have talked with Everton and also with Fulham, and we will talk again – but we do not know what will happen, there are other clubs too.

“We have talked with teams in Germany also, and hopefully we will know more soon.”

De Camargo joined the UEFA Europa League side Monchengladbach in 2010, and has been capped nine times by Belgium.

He has 18 months left on his current deal with Die Fohlen, who finished in the top four of the Bundesliga last season.
