Supporting Celtic is expensive

BBC Sport have released the details of an intriguing survey, indicating the most expensive and cheapest ways to watch football.
The most expensive matchday experience in Scotland unsurprisingly is at the SPL champions Celtic.
The standard experience of an adult ticket, a pie, a matchday programme and a cup of tea costs £30.30 at Parkhead.
A season ticket for the Scottish representative in the Champions League this season costs £77 more than any other club.
The cheapest option for a season ticket at Celtic Park comes in £112 more expensive than the equivalent lower ticket price at Premier League champions Manchester City.
It isn’t great news for the SPL all-round, as average attendances on games so far this season are lower than what they were last season.
The absence of Rangers in the top division is likely to have some affect on these figures.
SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster insists he isn’t too concerned though despite the slightly worrying figures.
He said: “There’s been a societal shift with people making different decisions about what they do with their leisure time and how they spend their money, but we have to remember that we still remain the best supported league per head of the population anywhere in Europe.”
