Sky Sports and ESPN confirm Christmas and New Year televised fixtures

UK television broadcasters Sky Sports and ESPN have confirmed their festive fixtures around the Christmas and New Year period.
The main match to be televised is the first Manchester derby of the season when Manchester United travel to the Etihad Stadium to face the champions.
This has now been moved to a 1.30pm kick-off time on Sunday 9 December, live on Sky Sports.
This match is part of a double Super Sunday with Liverpool’s trip to West Ham switching into a 4pm kick-off.
However, Andy Carroll will not be allowed to play in this match due to the Premier League’s strict loan regulations, which forbid any player to play for his loan side against his parent club.
The Hammers also have a tasty London derby covered live by Sky against Chelsea, which has been moved to a 12.45pm showdown on Saturday 1 December.
ESPN have only three matches between the beginning of December and New Year’s Day, although they will be screening the Arsenal v Newcastle United clash on Saturday 29 December in an early evening kick-off.
Sky will show Aston Villa v Tottenham and Stoke v Liverpool in the Boxing Day line-up and will cover the West Brom v Fulham and Southampton v Arsenal clashes on New Year’s Day.
In total, 24 live matches have been announced in what is often the busiest period of any season and all 20 Premier League clubs will be shown live at least once between December and January.
