Kettering Town nearing the end

Kettering Town seem to be approaching the end of their life as a football club after they were given until Wednesday, 31 October to meet 'certain conditions' in order to stay in the Southern Football League.
At the emergency meeting held, the board of the league opted to postpone Kettering's trip to St Neots on Saturday.
The Poppies, who are based just outside Northamptonshire and were first formed in 1872 have fallen on hard times of recent seasons and were relegated last season from the Blue Square Bet Premier division.
They currently play their football at Nene Park, the former home of ex-Football League club Rushden & Diamonds.
Kettering currently languish bottom of the Southern Premier division following a 10 point deduction.
Although the specific conditions for their continued existence haven't been revealed, it will be essential to see if they can support themselves financially before the deadline shuts or face possible explusion from the league.
They haven't played since October 6, because of a lack of players and the electricity being turned off at Nene Park.
At present, they do not have enough players registered to field a side and are unable to register more squad members because of a transfer ban.
Kettering's representatives are still hopeful of a takeover of the club. In a statement released on Tuesday, they said: "There still remains outside interest in taking over the club."
The club which Paul Gascoigne had an unsuccessful spell as manager briefly in 2005 and achieved non-league success with former Manchester United and Aston Villa boss Ron Atkinson in the 1970s are flirting dangerously with going bust.
I'm sure most will be hoping a positive solution will be found before next Wednesday's deadline.
