ITV requesting help from the fans with FA Cup titles

Although some people may not like it, ITV Sport is the home for live terrestrial football in 2012-13 because as they’ve said on their slogan for TV advertisements: “Because it matters.”
Now, the channel has requested for help in choosing the opening titles for this season’s FA Cup coverage.
Like last year, ITV will show live coverage of every round from November all the way to the Wembley final in May 2013.
They would like a sequence to capture the flavour of the FA Cup and what it means to the football fanatics across England and Wales.
ITV has asked fans to get in touch with their favourite memory from the most prestigious cup knockout competition there is in the world.
It won’t just be the obvious moments we remember, like Ricky Villa’s dazzling solo effort in 1981, Roberto Di Matteo’s strike in 1997 after just 43 seconds or the Gerrard final (pictured) of 2006.
A mixture of moments
They want to have a mixture of famous moments, icons of the competition but also of those that might be slightly less significant.
It could well be a famous giant-killing moment, the memory of a great last-gasp tackle to deny the opposition victory or a stunning blockbuster strike you will never forget.
ITV would like fans to get in touch through social media to discuss their memories and moments and who knows, your story or your picture could end being seen in the opening minute of FA Cup coverage this season.
The music hasn’t been confirmed yet, although it might be something new and refreshing.
The Enemy’s brilliant hit ‘Be Somebody’ has been the musical title for ITV’s FA Cup coverage for the past three seasons.
