Goals Soccer Centres announce official partnership with Movember


National five a side football provider, Goals Soccer Centres has teamed up with the men's health charity initiative Movember for the 2012 competition.
Goals will be hosting football tournaments throughout November or 'Movember,' at each of the 43 centres they have across the country.
The Movember charity helps raise money and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and has become the official tournament partner for this season's competition.
A successful campaign 
It is responsible for promoting thousands of 'Mo's' appearing on faces across the world every November. The aim is to raise awareness of the charity's fight against cancer.
It has especially taken off in the last two years, with many footballers including Norwich City striker Grant Holt (pictured), helping the campaign.
Match of the Day anchor Gary Lineker was another to take part last year.
Last year, Movember had its most successful year to date. Over 850,000 Mo's were grown across the globe, raising a brilliant total of £79.3m.
Michael Gibb, the National Marketing Manager for Goals said: "We are delighted to be the official partners of Movember 2012.
"It is a fantastic initiative that has done wonders to raise money and awareness for men's health issues in recent years.
"It is a fun campaign but with a serious message, and we hope our involvement will be an extension of that."
Encouragement to raise additional funds 
To enter a team for the tournaments across the UK, contact your local centre or visit the website www.goalsfootball.co.uk/movember.
Entering will cost £40 per team and all competitors are being encouraged to raise additional money through a widespread of other inputs, such as sponsorship.
Goals estimate that the various tournaments will raise in excess of £10,000 for Movember in entrance fees alone.
Every player that register for Goals will receive a Men's Grooming Kit courtesy of the sponsors of Sky Sports popular Soccer Saturday show Gillette.
The winning team at each competition will be rewarded with a Movember trophy.
