Premier League clubs enter fray in Round two draw


The second round draw of the Capital One Cup has taken place, with the pick of the ties, seeing Premier League Fulham travel to Hillsborough to play Sheffield Wednesday.
Wednesday produced the comeback of round one, storming back from 2-0 down to beat Oldham 4-2 on Monday.
Northampton Town’s reward for knocking out last season’s finalists Cardiff City is another home tie with Championship side Wolves.
After coming out on top in their incredible 5-5 draw with Derby via a penalty shootout, Scunthorpe United will be on their travels again, this time to Norwich City.
There is a tasty Midlands derby at the City of Coventry stadium, as Coventry City will battle it out with Birmingham City.
The highest ranked Premier League side that enters this stage is Everton. David Moyes’s team have been given a home draw, against the conquerors of Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient.
Wigan have a testing trip to Nottingham Forest and Stevenage Borough will be relishing their chances of causing an upset, as they will be hosting Southampton at the Lamex Stadium.
Other highlight ties see Aston Villa meet Tranmere Rovers in a repeat of a League Cup semi-final in 1994, Morecambe travel to Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers go to stadium:mk to face Milton Keynes Dons.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and defending holders Liverpool, will enter the competition in round three.
