Tranmere Rovers are the surprise leaders in nPower League One after two games.
Manager Ronnie Moore picked out Andy Robinson’s performance, after he scored a marvellous hat-trick, as his side crushed Carlisle United 3-0 at Brunton Park.
Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside: “It’s hard to pick out individuals but Andy Robinson was just unbelievable.
“For the third one (goal), I was screaming for him not to hit it. It was miles out but it’s flown in.”
Doncaster & Notts County have maximum points
Doncaster Rovers are only behind Tranmere on goal difference, after they came from behind to beat Bury 2-1.
Bury captain Steven Schumacher was dismissed for two bookable offences and they were punished for this indiscipline by a winner from Chris Brown (pictured) with six minutes to go.
Hartlepool’s sorry start continued, as they struggle to recover from their 5-0 thrashing by Crewe in the Capital One Cup first round.
