Jarvis set for Hammers move

Winger Matt Jarvis is in East London to complete a move from Wolves to West Ham United.
The Hammers have had a third bid accepted for the 26-year-old, believed to be worth £10.75m.
It is a double blow for the Championship club, with Scottish striker Steven Fletcher, on the verge of completing a £12m move to Sunderland.
West Ham have been leading the chase for Jarvis (pictured) all summer, who has won one cap for England but have been frustrated by the Midlands club refusal, to budge past the £10m asking price.
The midfielder handed in a transfer request earlier this month to manager Stale Solbakken but has knuckled down and played well in both of Wolves’s first two Championship matches.
His performance in the 3-1 victory over Barnsley on Tuesday, the side’s first success in 27 matches, was watched by Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert, who had been mulling over gazumping West Ham with a late bid.
However, it looks like Sam Allardyce has finally got his man to Upton Park. Jarvis will thrash out personal terms and undergo a medical today, with the club keen to have him in the squad for Saturday lunchtime’s trip to Swansea.
Jarvis becomes the ninth new face at the Boleyn Ground this summer, as the Premier League returnees have also signed the likes of Jussi Jaaskelainen, James Collins, Mohamed Diame and Alou Diarra.
With eight days left before the summer transfer window shuts, the East Londoners are also believed to be in talks with Rennes winger Razak Boukari and free agent Royston Drenthe, who was on loan at Everton last season.
