Aquilani ends Reds nightmare and returns to Italy

Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani has ended his nightmare spell at Liverpool.
He has completed a permanent return to Italy, moving to Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.
Aquilani (pictured) only started in nine Premier League matches for the Reds since he moved to the club from AS Roma for £20m in 2009.
He was bought by Rafa Benitez as a replacement for Xabi Alonso but arrived at Melwood with an ankle injury and went onto start only nine Premier League matches on Merseyside.
He has spent the last two seasons on loan in Serie A with Juventus and AC Milan.
Brendan Rodgers gave the 28-year-old permission to speak to Fiorentina at the end of Liverpool’s US tour last week. In total, he scored twice in 28 appearances.
The departure of Aquilani's high wages might allow Rodgers to step up his pursuit of Swansea City midfielder, Joe Allen.
