Hello football fans

For those wanting to know a bit more about my background, well here it is.


  • My name is Simon Wright.  I am a 27-year-old graduate journalist and currently work as a picture researcher for a leading company that deals with football trading cards and stickers.
  • Before this, I have had several freelance journalist roles, including a stint as a news writer with A Different League (January - July 2013) and a role as deputy editor on a lengthy unpaid internship with Total Football Magazine (May - December 2012).
  • I graduated from the University of Northampton in the summer of 2012, earning a 2:1 final degree classification from a three-year course in BA hons Journalism.
  • I have worked on two websites before: http://happydude88.blogspot.co.uk/ (February 2010 - December 2011) and Viewing Perspectives (from September 2012 - October 2014).
  • I am a Liverpool FC fan and have had a strong following of football since just after the 1994 World Cup in the United States.
  • I have a YouTube account which showcases some of my video work, and a freelance journalism listing on Journalism.co.uk.
